Joseph Cole (Plainview)

Joseph Daniel Cole, 67, of Kress passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Leonel Gonzalez, chaplain of Area Community Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Cole was born on July 22, 1940 in Antlers, Oklahoma. He married Maria Olivarez on July 1, 1973 in Seagraves, Texas. He is survived by his wife: Maria Cole of Kress; three daughters: Maria Casas of Plainview, Rosa Speed of Lubbock and Irma Carbajal of Tulia; one son: Jose Casas of California, Maryland; four sisters: Josephine Stewart of Snyder, Marie Barcus of Sherman, Wilma Noah of Antlers, OK and Elois Barcus of Ennis; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Prayer service will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Memorials may be made to American Kidney Foundation, National Diabetes Foundation or Area Community Hospice.
