Guadalupe Moreno (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Guadalupe Moreno, 68, of Tulia passed away on March 3, 2012 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor Joe Gonzalez of the Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Guadalupe was born on December 13, 1943 in Rio Grande, Texas to Candalario and Conrado Moreno. He married Maria Garza in 1962. He moved to Tulia in 1970 and worked for Taylor-Evans Seed Company for over 20 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. Survivors include his wife, Maria Moreno of Tulia; ten children, Melba Moreno of Tulia, Maricella Moreno of Amarillo, Erasmo Moreno of Tulia, Sally Garcia of Tulia, David Moreno of Amarillo, Reynaldo Moreno of Tulia, Maria Moreno of Tulia, Christa Moreno of Tulia, Victor Moreno of Tulia, Ruben Moreno of Amarillo; one brother, Toribio Moreno of Rio Grande, Texas; one sister, Esperanza Moreno of Rio Grande, Texas; 23 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four children, Raul Moreno, Norma Moreno, and a set of twin babies; his parents, and four brothers.
