Roy Flores, Sr. (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Roy Flores, Sr., 68, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 in Canyon. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel and a funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Marco Gonzales, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tula. Roy was born July 12, 1943 in Robstown, Texas to Simon and Ramona Flores. He grew up in Sundown. He worked for D&A Manufacturing in Tulia for several years as a machinist. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. He is preceded in death by his father: Simon Flores, his wife: Elva Flores and three brothers. He is survived by his son: Roy Flores, Jr. of Tulia, his daughter: Nancy Musquez of Tulia, his mother: Ramona Gonzales of Tulia, two brothers: Simon Flores, Sr. of Amarillo and Ted Flores of Hale Center, two sisters: Ramona Subealdea of Tulia and Janie Durden of Amarillo, eight grandchildren and six great, grandchildren.
