Debbie Poteet (Plainview)

Debbie Poteet, 56, passed away peacefully at home Friday, March 30, 2012 surrounded by her friends and family after a valiant battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Ed LeCompte officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Poteet was born on December 20, 1955 in Bryan, Texas to Carl & Darlene Armstrong. She married Wayne Poteet on June 20, 1999 in Plainview. She worked as a secretary for IMS for the past 12 years. Debbie was lovingly known as “DiDi.” She is survived by husband: Wayne Poteet of Plainview; two daughters: Mary Ann Pinkerton and husband Heath of Plainview and Lisa Williams and husband Mike of Plainview; one son: Justin Ogden and wife Jessica of Plainview; her parents: Carl & Darlene Armstrong of Olton; two brothers: Robert Armstrong and wife DeLinda of Seminole and Rocky Armstrong and wife Crystal of Amarillo; one sister: Shelly Whitfield of Tampa, FL; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; step children: Michelle Duboise and husband Quinn of Waco and Michael Poteet of Plano; father-in-law: Curtis Poteet of Floydada.
