Ada Suzanne “Suzy Q” Cantrell Quisenberry, 61, passed from this life on April 6, 2012, at her home in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at First Assembly of God in Plainview, Texas with Rev. Nelson Gonzalez officiating and Mr. Oscar Chavez assisting. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Suzy Q was born on March 7, 1951 in Midland to James and Ruth Cantrell. She grew up in Midland then her family moved to Plainview when she was a freshman in high school. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1969. She attended West Texas State University for a couple of years. She married Ricky Quisenberry on November 25, 1972 in Clovis, New Mexico. Suzy started a career in the banking industry in 1975 with Plainview Savings and Loan. Through acquisitions and names changes, she stayed with the same bank her entire career. She retired from American State Bank in December of 2011. Suzy Q was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Cantrell; step-father, Stanley Morrison; and a brother, Joe Cantrell. Survivors include her husband, Ricky Quisenberry of Plainview; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara Ebeling and husband Monte of Lubbock, Theressa Burns and husband Josh of Plainview; one step-son, Ricky Kyle Quisenberry of Sanger; and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or Area Community Hospice.
