Erich Ulmer (Plainview)

Erich Ulmer, 86, of Plainview passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Prairie House Living Center. Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 21, 2007 at Plainview Memorial Park with Colquitt Nash, Chaplain of Area Community Hospice officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. He was born in Germany on August 9, 1921. He was a Diesel Mechanic and came to the United States to help train other Mechanics. He had a shop in Lubbock and then he settled in Plainview. He operated Ulmer’s Automotive for many years. People would send their vehicles from all over the U.S.A. just so Mr. Ulmer could work on them. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Ulmer; a son, Erich Ulmer, Jr.; and a step-daughter, Traci Lynn Box. He is survived by his longtime friends, Andy and Billie Reynolds of Plainview.
