Tulia, Texas—Alan Glasscock, 54, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 in Tulia. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Jason Stone and Mr. Larry Stewart officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the Springlake Cemetery in Springlake, Texas. Alan was born January 17, 1958 in Olton. He attended school at Springlake, Littlefield and Tulia graduating Tulia High School in 1976. He worked construction with his father and worked in the Foundry at Kenneth Wyatt Galleries for several years. He moved to Taos, NM and worked for the Kit Carson Museum Association for several years. He moved back to Tulia and became the Director of the Swisher County Museum. He is preceded in death by his father: Jim Glasscock. His family includes his mother: Pat Glasscock of Tulia, his two children: Logan Glasscock of Taos and Heather Graybill of Albuquerque, his children’s mother: Sharon Glasscock of Taos, his grandson: Kylen Opstedal of Albuquerque, his brothers: Bob Glasscock of Runge, TX and Danny Glasscock of Tulia and a special friend: Pat Dyess of Tulia. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Swisher County Museum, 127 SW 2nd Street, Tulia, Texas 79088 or a favorite charity.
