Tulia, Texas—Kathleen Reed Loring, 96, died Friday, September 28, 2007 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 1, 2007 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia with Rev. Charles Davenport, retired Baptist Minister, officiating and Jim Fox, VistaCare Hospice Chaplain assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Loring was born January 9, 1911 in Ellis Co., Texas. She moved to Tulia and went to school at the Love Community in Swisher Co. She married Talton Loring in 1930 and they farmed east of Tulia. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She moved to Amarillo in 1995. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; Tom and Ora Lee Reed, her husband; Talton Loring in 1980 and a brother; W. T. Reed. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Jack and Ann Loring of Amarillo, three grandchildren; Marci Linke of Amarillo, Lisa Cherry and husband Doug of Silverton and Cally Mote and husband Brent of Tulia, six great grandchildren; Anna Browning and husband David of Amarillo, Desiree Watson of Dallas, Jack Cherry and wife Genie of Justin, Texas, Chelsie Hacker and husband Jordan of Perryton, Jackelyn Mote of Amarillo and Julie Mote of Amarillo and two great, great grandchildren; Brianna Williams of Amarillo and Talton Browning of Amarillo.
