Tulia, Texas— Henry (Hank) Rossi, 83, passed away on September 29, 2007 in Amarillo. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2007 in the Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Tony Neusch officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Hank was born February 5, 1924 in Montague, Texas to Louis and Marie Rossi. He married Evelyn Braddock on September 7, 1944 in Nazareth. He moved to Tulia from California at the age of five and attended Union Hill Schools and graduated from Happy High School. He owned and operated his own floor covering business. He is preceded in death by his parents; Louis and Marie Rossi and a grandson; Troy Don Howard. He is survived by his wife; Evelyn Rossi of Tulia, six daughters; Libby Howard and husband Ricky of Plainview, Denice Gerber and husband Carroll of Nazareth, Roxanne Ledwig and husband Anthony of Amarillo, Peggy Pohlmeier and husband Brian of Plainview, Susan Britten and husband Cliff of Groom, Cathy Smith and husband Mike of Amarillo, three sons; Larry Rossi and wife Carissa of Plainview, Terry Rossi of Amarillo and Dr. Steven Rossi of Amarillo, three sisters; Virginia Gerber of Amarillo, Ann Anderwald of Amarillo and Inez Cox of Tulia, one brother; Frank Rossi of Tulia, 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Hank was a charter member of St. Williams Catholic Church where he served as an usher and member of Catholic Men’s Organization. He was also a member of RSVP and Senior Citizens. He was honored as Father of the Year in 1977 and West Texas A&M Family of the Year in 1993. Our dad embraced life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family respectfully requests memorials be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Tulia.
