Kenneth McCaslin (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Kenneth McCaslin, 83, died Monday, June 4, 2012 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, June 7, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy Ewing and Rev. Donna Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the funeral home. Kenneth was born May 13, 1929 in Archer City. He grew up in Swisher County and attended schools at the Salem Community and Happy. He served in the US Army from 1952-1954. He returned to Tulia and in February 1953 he married Opal Green. He worked for the City of Tulia for 39 years. He was the Directors of Public Works. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents: Kenny and Myrtle McCaslin and a brother Billy McCaslin. He is survived by his wife Opal McCaslin of Tulia, two sons: Kenny McCaslin and J’Le Davis of Tulia, Larry and Carla McCaslin of Tulia, two brothers: Glen Dee and Jo McCaslin of Tulia, Charles and Mary McCaslin of Tulia, two sisters: Betty and Phillip Myers of Tulia, JoAnn and Tommy Ewing of Amarillo and one sister-in-law: Becky McCaslin of Tulia, six grandchildren: Josh Richardson of New Braunfels, Shannon Nolen and Justin Burnett of Canyon, Geoffry McCaslin of Canyon, Zachery and DeeAnn McCaslin of Claude, Andrew McCaslin of Lubbock, Tyler and Jessica McCaslin of Midland, six great grandchildren: Taylor McCaslin of Amarillo, Ashlynn Nolan of Canyon, Bradyn Nolen of Canyon, Ellie McCaslin of Claude, Addy McCaslin of Midland and E.B.
