Israel Rodriguez, 85 of Kress, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 in Kress. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Oscar Chavez Chaplain, Area Community Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Israel was born October 11, 1926 to Ezequiel and Manuela Rodriguez in Brownsville, TX. He married Sara Almazan on November 21, 1949. He is survived by his wife, Sara Rodriguez of Kress, TX; three daughters, San Juanita Leija of Kress, TX, Esther Berner of San Antonio, TX, and Estella Chambers of Amarillo, TX; three sons, Orlando Rodriguez of Amarillo, TX, Israel Rodriguez, Jr. of Amarillo, TX and Ismael Rodriguez of Plainview, TX; thirteen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.
