Ethel Lee Pierson, 85, passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 at Prairie House Living Center in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 8, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Tom Lakey, pastor of First Assembly of God in Lubbock officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Ethel was born on October 12, 1921 in Hale County. She grew up in Petersburg and graduated from Petersburg High School as the Valedictorian of her class. She was a Bookkeeper at the Ford House in Abernathy for many years. She also worked at Struve Merchantile where they sold car tags. She also did tax preparation on the side. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Lubbock. She is survived by two brothers, Virgal Pierson and wife Bobbie of Petersburg, Walter Pierson and wife Lenora of Dumas; two sisters, Stella Helms of Abernathy, Hulda Pierson of Plainview; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer Pierson, Joe Pierson, D.W. Pierson, Bill Pierson; two sisters, Cortez Breeding, and Opal Pierson The family suggests memorials to Charity of your choice.
