Alfred Clinton “Freddie” Holmes, 62, of Plainview passed away on July 17, 2012 in Lubbock. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 20, 2012 at Plainview Memorial Park with Rev. Roger Foote officiating, pastor of Colonial Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Freddie was born March 19, 1950 to Clinton and Anna Josephine Holmes in Stamford, TX. He moved to Edmonson in 1957 from Gaines County. He attended schools here in Plainview and graduated in 1968. He drove a truck for several years and later worked various jobs. He was a member at Northside Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, James Clinton Holmes of Amarillo, TX; two sisters Eva June Logan & husband Carl of Ft. Worth, TX, and Barbara Faus of Odessa, TX; special cousins JoAnn Wright and husband Jack of Lubbock, TX; one aunt, Dorothy Morton of Edmonson, TX and several nieces and nephews.
