Opal Stout, 92 died Saturday morning June 18, 2005 in Tulia, Texas. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2005 at the First Baptist church with Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Stout was born April 17, 1913 in Granger, Texas. She was a homemaker and a resident of Claude from 1932 to 1948 when she moved to Tulia. She had lived in Tulia ever since except for a two year period at Grand court Retirement Center in Lubbock. She was a member of Unity Study Club in Tulia and a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She loved her family, the farming and ranching business and catching big fish. She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Henry Stout. Survivors include a daughter Sharon Curry and husband Buddy of Lubbock; three sons, Don Stout and wife Bettye of Tulia, Jerry Stout of Texhoma, and Jim Stout and wife Deloris of Elmore City, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
