Tulia, Texas—Frankie Carlisle, 79, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 in Denton. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 1, 2007 in the Central Church of Christ with Trey Morgan and Eben Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Carlisle was born September 23, 1928 in Haskell County, Texas to Ben and Ellen Redwine. She grew up in Haskell County and graduated from Wynert High School. She married Tom W. Carlisle on December 4, 1946 in Rule, Texas. They moved to Olton in 1950 and to Swisher Co. in 1962. She worked at the West Texas State Bank in Canyon and also for the post office at West Texas State University in Canyon. After she retired they moved back to Tulia. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. They moved to Denton in 2004. Survivors include her husband; Tom W. Carlisle of Denton, two daughters & sons-in-law; Judy and James Shannon of Abernathy and Donna and Dwight Carter of Denton, one son and daughter-in-law; Buttons and Kathy Carlisle of Tulia, one sister; Nova Walling of Bowie, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the High Plains Children’s Home, P.O.
