Tulia, Texas—George Sewell, Sr., 64, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 1, 2007 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Larry Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. George was born September 28, 1943 in Roby, Texas. He grew up in Roby and Snyder and moved to Tulia in 1955. He was a diesel mechanic for over 40 years and he worked at the John Deere House in Tulia for over 20 years. He was married to Mary Farmer and later to Debbie Jordan. Survivors include two daughters; Lonnette Hareford and husband Jim of Amarillo and Rebecca Kay McAllister of Plainview, two sons; George Sewell, Jr. and wife Janie of Plainview and Douglas Marshall and wife Malinda of Borger, 10 grandchildren; Crystal Armstrong, Casandra Baber, Nathan Dupont, Candice Sewell, Christine Lockridge, Christopher Keen, Dennis Smith, Tessa Sewell, Cheyenne Sewell and Shawn Marshall and 7 great grandchildren.
