Charles L. Henegar, 85, of Plainview passed away, Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Lockney. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at First Assembly of God. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 Monday, September 10, 2012 at the funeral home. Charles was born September 8, 1926 to Lester and Almeria Henegar in Plainview, TX. He married Joyce Kindrick on January 29, 1949 in Texas City, Texas. Mr. Henegar was a lifelong resident of Plainview. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Mr. Henegar worked as a welder and did construction work at Harvest Queen Mill for 30 years. He owned his own business, Henegar Welding & Repair for several years. He was a member and past Deacon at First Assembly of God. Mr. Henegar had many lifelong friends and led many people to the Lord. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Almeria Henegar; and two sisters, Lena Thompson and Oleta Owens. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Henegar of Plainview; two sons, Steve Henegar & wife Cindy of Plainview, TX and Michael Henegar & wife Debbie of Tulia, TX; two brothers, Eddie Henegar & wife Helen, and Anthony Henegar & wife Lucille; two sisters, Lola Carter and Marnell Walker all of Plainview; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
