Mary Macias (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Mary Macias, 68, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary will be held at 6:30 pm Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Mary was born May 15, 1944 in Mission, Texas to Patricio and Manuela Basaldua. She married Guillermo Macias in May 1966. He died July 7, 2012. She worked for Tulia ISD for 26 years. She is survived by three daughters: Lydia Simmons and husband Bentley of Tulia, Priscilla Sanders and husband Boyett of Tulia and Christina Garza and husband Luis of Tulia, and one son: Danny Macias and wife Vicky of Tulia, four sisters: Juanita Garcia of Nebraska, Elva Reyna of Hurst, Texas, Maria Granado of Dumas, Texas and Emma Garcia of Spearman Texas, 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
