Josephine “Jo” Holmes – Josephine Holmes, 83 of Plainview passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 5:22 P.M. in Covenant Hospital Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Foote pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Holmes worked for Suzanne’s Hallmark Gift Shop and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Plainview. She is survived by Two daughters; Eva June Logan of Fort Worth, Texas and Barbara Faus of Odessa, Texas; One Son: Freddie Holmes of Plainview, Texas; Three Sisters: Mary Jane Thurman of Jacksboro, Dorothy Morton of Edmonson and Athalee McKillip of Amarillo, Texas; Five Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Clinton Holmes and Three Sisters; Ivydell Curtis, Oleta Hamblin and Jerry Yonaka. Family will receive friends from Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
