Lydia Glenn, 53, of Kress went to be with the Lord after losing her battle to cancer on November 15, 2007 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Garland Street Church of Christ in Plainview with Mr. Steve Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. Lydia was born on November 30, 1953 in Hale Center. She attended schools there and graduated from Hale Center High School in 1972. She attended Jessie Lee’s School of Hairdressing in Lubbock. Lydia was a licensed beautician for over 30 years. She was a member of the Garland Street Church of Christ. She was a great encourager and was loved by many. She married Jimmy Glenn on February 26, 1977 in Hale Center. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Glenn of Kress; two daughters, Melanie Jones and husband Ricky of Amarillo, Natalie Gray and husband Mike of Amarillo; a son, Colten Glenn of Tulia; her parents, Bobby and Edna Wardlaw of Hale Center; two sisters, Randa Massey and husband Tim of Hale Center, Darla Kirk and husband Roy of Springtown; and five grandchildren, Emily, Taylor, Cy, Wil, and Heidi Gray all of Amarillo.
