Thelma Skipworth (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Thelma Inez Skipworth, 95, died Friday, November 23, 2007 in Vernon. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Kress Cemetery with Mike Talley, Kress Church of Christ Minister officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Skipworth was born December 8, 1911 in Grapeland, Texas. She attended schools there. She married Lee C. Skipworth on March 11, 1933 in Clovis. He died September 7, 1981. She moved to Tulia in 1984. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, one sister and one granddaughter; Anita Culwell. Survivors include two daughters; Billie Walberg of Mosca, Colorado and Emma Dee Garrett of Chillicothe, Texas, one brother; Amos Caskey of Grapeland, Texas, one sister; Dorothy Risinger of Tyler, Texas, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 13 great, great grandchildren.
