Theresa Stennett (Plainview)

Theresa Stennett, 88, of Lockney passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at St. Alice Catholic Church with Monsignor Curtis Halfmann and Rev. Jim McCartney officiating. Interment will follow in Lockney Cemetery under the personal care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. with rosary to follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Stennett was born on June 19, 1924 in Rhineland, Texas to Albert and Mary Andrae. She married Jimmy D. “Slick” Stennett on May 20, 1946 in Rhineland, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2007. Mrs. Stennett attended business school in Abilene and worked for the Abilene Reporter News. She worked in the superintendants office for the Lockney schools and Lockney General Hospital for over 30 years. She enjoyed golf, bowling, bridge and gardening. Mrs. Stennett was a faithful member of San Jose Catholic Church in Lockney. She is survived by four sons: Gary Stennett and wife Debbie of Plainview, Doug Stennett and wife Ellen of Richardson, Kevin Stennett and wife Michealle of Lockney and Mike Stennett of Lubbock; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
