Domingo Espinoza Rivera, Sr. (Plainview)

Domingo E. Rivera, Sr, of Plainview passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his residence in Plainview. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Aresenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Rivera was born to Anastacio & Francisca Rivera on June 1, 1941 in Davenport, North Dakota. He married Rosa Hernandez on February 28, 1960 in Crystal City, Texas. Domingo had worked for Plainview Cemetery and did crop sharing in Minnesota for several years. He also worked at Azteca until he retired in 2006. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Rivera of Plainview; three daughters Valentina Hinojosa of Plainview, Linda Rivera of Lubbock, Dalia Rivera of Plainview; three sons Domingo Rivera, Jr. of Plainview, Ruben Rivera of Plainview, Chris Rivera of Dallas; three brothers Juan Rivera of Bakersfield, California, Tomas Rivera of Greenville, Michigan, Federico Rivera of San Antonio; four sisters Maria Hernandez, Bertha Pulido, Angelita Alcozer all of San Antonio, Gilberta Gonzalez of Plainview; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.
