Carl Armstrong (Plainview)

Carl Armstrong, 77, of Olton, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 in Plainview. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 19, 2012 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mr. Robert Harrell officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Armstrong was born February 11, 1935 to Pinkney and Arby Armstrong in Georgewest, Texas. He grew up in Odessa later graduating from Odessa High School. He attended and graduated from Texas A & M. He married Darlene Mae Fewin August 29, 1954. Carl lived in the Olton for over 33 years. He owned and operated Paul Carraway Insurance. Mr. Armstrong was a Free Mason and attended the baptist church. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Poteet and great granddaughter, Zada Whitfield. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Armstrong of Olton, TX; one daughter, Darla Michelle Whitfield of Plant City, FL; two sons, Robert Carlton Armstrong of Canyon, TX, and Dub Allen Armstrong of Amarillo, TX; one sister, Faye Kennedy of Brady, TX; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
