Howard D. Adams, 77, of Plainview passed away Friday, December 21, 2007 at his residence in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 24, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Mark Gunter and Leonel Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Adams was born on July 5, 1930 in Shamrock, Texas to Dwight L. Moody and Cora Adams. Mr. Adams graduated from Floydada High School. He married Jean Warren on March 22, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Adams managed Paymaster Gin in Halfway for 10 years and Ranched in Briscoe County for 10 years. He owned Agri-Serve Crop Insurance and retired from farming in 1994. Mr. Adams was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Jean Adams of Plainview; two daughters and sons in law: Linda Larson and husband Terry of Evansville, Indiana and Nancy Ware and husband Bill of Weatherford; two sons and daughters in law: Dwight Adams and wife Arlene of Plainview and David Adams and wife Charlotte of Halfway; one sister and brother in law: LaNelle Farris and husband John of Lamesa; seven grandchildren: Damon Stewart, Emily Rexing, Candace Scheinoha, Todd Ogle, Seth Mitchell, Abby Adams and Carter Adams; nine great grandchildren: Michael Stewart, Caitlin Hodges, Paige Garvin, Codee Caley, Logan Scheinoha, Chance Ogle, Bailey Ogle, Hope Ogle and Justin Mitchell; he was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Adams and Wayne Adams and one great granddaughter: London Ogle.
