Bobby Brunson, 74, of Plainview passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at his home in Plainview. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Northwest Church of Christ with Mr. J. Henderson officiating and Mr. Dee Teel assisting. Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M in Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque, TX. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Bobby was born April 9, 1938 to Roy Leron & Ira Jane Brunson in Briscoe County, TX. He grew up in Quitaque and graduated Quitaque High School in 1957. He showed animals for FFA and was a Lone Star Farmer. He married Birtie Kimbell on May 24, 1958 in Quitaque. They moved to Plainview in 1972. He farmed in the area for 29 years. He retired in 2001. After retirement he began working with wood and created many craft items. He was a member of the Lord’s church for 60 years and worshiped at Northwest Church of Christ. He loved his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Leron & Ira Jane Brunson; and one brother, Roy Ivon Brunson. He is survived by his wife, Birtie Brunson of Plainview; one daughter, Connie Cantwell & husband Benny of Plainview; one son, Bob Brunson & wife Jeanine of Plainview; one sister, Peggy Herring & husband Dick of Crockett, TX; five grandchildren, Angela Bechtold & husband Jeromy of Plainview, Chad Brunson & wife Camy of Plainview, Kimberly Henry & husband Justin of Levelland, Justin Cantwell & wife Kristie of Kress, and Krystal Hebert & husband Shawn of Halfaway; nine great grandchildren, Corbin & Paige Bechtold, Clay, Cai and Cree Brunson, Bentlee Leatherwood, Jalayne, Laynie Henry, and Avery Cantwell; four sisters in law, and two brothers in law, Cathryn Conner & husband Elgin of Levelland, Betty Mabry & Mary Berry of Tulia, TX, and James Kimbell & wife Patty of Turkey, TX; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
