Clareen Borron, 89, of Plainview, passed away at 5:38 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2005. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at Grace United Methodist Church with Ron Huckeby, officiating and Rev. Horace Abbot assisting. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. in Groom Cemetery in Groom, Texas by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Borron was born on February 12, 1916 in Attica, Kansas to William Sherman and Alta May Corser. Mrs. Borron grew up in Attica, Kansas and graduated high school there. She attended Northwestern State University in Oklahoma and Lipperts Business School in Plainview. She married Hilmon Borron on February 12, 1941 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He died in November of 1978. Mrs. Borron retired from the Selective Service Office and was a receptionist at Lemons Funeral Home from 1969 to 1999. She was active in Cub Scouts, lifetime member of Rebekah Lodge 170, a member of the American Legion Auxillary and Grace United Methodist Church. She is survived by One Daughter: Nancy Cook of Houston, TX; One Son: Phillip Borron of Plainview; Two brothers Jack Corser of Grove, OK and Jim Corser of Attica, KS; Five Grandsons: Phillip Borron, Jr, Michael Borron, Troi Alan Cook, Todd Anthony Cook and Tobie Aven Cook; Three Great Grandchildren: Tyler Borron, Chad Wade Borron and Amber Nicole Cook; Mrs. Borron was a Nanny to Elizabeth Williams, Rebecca Williams Whitaker, David Dodd and Daniel Dodd.
