Donna Mason (Plainview)

Donna J. Mason, 79, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Hart and Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M., Monday, November 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Donna was born November 16, 1933 to Hershel Lee and Pauline Lumpkin in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She married Billy D. Mason on January 4, 1952 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She was office manager for Quarterway Gin. She enjoyed gardening, painting, pottery, arts and crafts. Mrs. Mason was a first grade Sunday School teacher for 30 years, she helped with the children’s choir and attended the Precept weekly Bible study group. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents Hershel Lee and Pauline Lumpkin. She is survived by her husband Bill Mason; one daughter: Debra Mason of Taos, NM; three sons: David Mason & wife Tammy of Plainview, Steve Mason & wife Deanna of Plainview and Mark Mason & wife Sarah of Southlake, TX; two sisters: Vonna Ogle & husband Richard of Fletcher, OK and Sue Scammahorn & husband Roy of Apache, OK; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 205 W. 8th Street, Plainview, Texas 79072 or Area Community Hospice Foundation 3109 Olton Rd. Suite C, Plainview, Texas 79072.
