Tulia, Texas—Gene Clary, 89, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at his residence in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 28, 2012 in the Central Church of Christ with Mr. Bob Colson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A family and friends visitation will be held from 7-8 pm Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Gene was born January 20, 1923 in Petty, Texas to J.W. and Millie Clary. He was the last of 13 children. He married Geraldine Gunn on June 7, 1941 in Plainview. They lived in Quitaque and farmed. They moved to Tulia in 1955 and farmed. He worked for the Tule Creek Gin from 1981 to 2003. He was a member of the 6th & Gaines Church of Christ. His family incudes his wife: Geraldine Clary of Tulia, one daughter: Debbie Kirby of White Deer, three grandchildren: Matthew Kirby of Panhandle, Tara Plexico of Rockwall and Steven Kirby of Pampa and four great grandchildren: Maddison Plexico, Kaiden Plexico, Kloey Kirby and Kayleigh Kirby.
