Fidela Saenz (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Fidela Saenz, 72, died Monday, January 21, 2008 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 24, 2008 at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Tony Neusch, pastor officiating and Deacon Joe Frausto assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Saenz was born March 23, 1935 in Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Manuel Saenz on December 28, 1957 in Mexico. They moved to Tulia in 1963 where she was a homemaker and loved to take care of her children as they grew up. Mr. Saenz died May 4, 2001. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She will be greatly missed by all of her family. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Survivors include six daughters; Hope Martinez of Tuscon, Arizona, Hortencia Renteria, Yolanda Perez, Ramona Martinez and Vicenta Martinez, all of Tulia, Mickey Ortega of Dallas, two sons; Robert Saenz and Ricky Saenz, both of Tulia, two brothers; Ramon Herrera of Chihuahua, Mexico and Jeronimo Saenz of Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, three sisters; Manuella Vasquez of Juarez, Mexico, Concha Frias of El Paso, Texas and Olivia Hinkley of Las Vegas, Nevada, 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
