Prestine Stark (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Prestine Stark, 65, of Amarillo passed away on November 29, 2012 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Tulia with Rev. Rance Young, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Silverton officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Prestine was born November 4, 1947 in Tulia to Preston Hutto and Connie Graves. Her father Preston was killed in a car accident in 1948. Her mother married A.T. Young and he adopted her and raised her as his own. She grew up and attended schools in Tulia. She then attended South Plains College. She became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked at the Hospital in Plainview for several years. She was a Baptist. She was preceded by her parents A.T. and Connie Young. Survivors include 4 Children, Karla Hale of Silverton, William Stark of Alabama, Rozlyn Bradshaw of Plainview, Tammie Mayer of Amarillo; 11 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren.
