Ermalinda Rios Lopez (Plainview)

Ermalinda Rios Lopez, 66, of Plainview passed away Friday, January 25, 2008 in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raymundo Manriquez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Lopez was born July 7, 1941 in Ballinger, Texas to Rumaldo and Tiodora Rios. She married Pete Lopez, Sr. on February 8, 1959 in Plainview. Mrs. Lopez retired from Coronado Jr. High School in 1994 and currently worked for Wal Mart. Mrs. Lopez was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband: Pete Lopez, Sr.; Three sons: Leroy Lopez and wife Aurora of Slaton, Pete Lopez, Jr. and wife Anna of Plainview and David Lopez of Plainview; Two brothers: Chris Rios of Tulia and Rumaldo Rios, Jr. of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Four sisters: Sally Calzada of Roswell, New Mexico, Martina Garza of Tulsa, OK, Olivia Perez of Ballinger and Noemi Rios of Plainview; Ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister Josepha Salas. Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
