Marie Savage (Plainview)

Marie Savage, 70, of Plainview, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit at Covenant Hospital Lubbock. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 28, 2012 at Plainview Memorial Park with Rev. Don Robertson, of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Marie was born September 24, 1942 to Jesse & Grace Harris in Lockney, Texas. After graduating Lockney High School she attended Lipperts Business School. She married James Carrol Savage September 19, 1970 in Plainview, Texas. She was a bookkeeper for Blair Drug, a bus driver, and retired from Covenant Hospital in 2008. After retirement she volunteered at RSVP. She is survived by her husband, James Carrol Savage of Plainview, TX; one daughter, Lisa Libre & husband Perry of Lubbock, TX; one son, Jason Savage & wife Melanie of Plainview, TX; four grandchildren; and her best friend, Sally Phillips.
