Loyd Linville, 60, of Plainview, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the V.A. Medical Center in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Lee Walls of Four Square Church in Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Linville was born on March 7, 1947 in Plainview to Emmett and Marian Linville. He grew up and attended schools in Plainview. He served in the U.S. Army and served 2 tours in Vietnam. He served his country for 22 years before retiring in 1987. He married Sandra Gibson on March 22, 1997 in Plainview. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Linville of Plainview; two daughters, Adriana Weigel and husband Kay of Goellheim, Germany, Fabiana Linville of Weitersweiler, Germany; one son, Loyd Ottie Linville and wife Christine of Hettenleidelheim, Germany; one step-daughter, Valarie Mojica and husband Paul of Plainview; one step-son, Shawn Jones and wife Typhany of Ft. Benning, Georgia; four brothers, (his twin) Floyd Linville of Lubbock, Emmett Linville of Stockton, Missouri, Larry Linville of Plainview, Jerry Linville of Columbus, Georgia; four sisters, Mary Jo Harvey of Albuquerque, N.M., Marilyn Helms of Paris, Texas, Helen Sharp of Granbury, Texas, Linda Breckenridge of Liberty, Arkansas; and 10 Grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to any children’s home or injured soldier fund.
