Eunice Pyle Lynn (Plainview)

Eunice Pyle Lynn, 92, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at the Covenant Hospital in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 9th & Columbia Church of Christ with Mr. Johnny McDonald and Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Lynn was born on January 19, 1916 in Elmore City, Oklahoma to Esker and Rosie Pyle. She grew up and attended schools there. She married Argus Jefferson Lynn on Dec. 24, 1932 in Elmore City, Oklahoma. He passed away on December 31, 1985. They moved to Plainview in the 1940’s. She worked for PISD as a cook at Estacado Jr. High for several years. She was a member of the 9th and Columbia Church of Christ. Her survivors include two daughters, LaGay James and husband Jerry of Plainview, Loretha Young and husband Mearl of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Bernice Mathis of Plainview; four grandchildren, Barb Hill, Gary Young, Jeff James, Dayna Hightower; six great grandchildren, Stacy Wood, Jared James, Austin James, Lexy Hightower, Braxon Hightower, Keenan Hooper; two great great grandchildren, Morgan Miller and Mason Wood. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. The family suggests memorials to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174.
