Callen Clark Wright was born premature on October 24, 2012 in Lubbock, Texas to Parents Justin and Victoria Wright. While in NICU for 65 days, Callen battled a list of birth defects including Myelomeningicele, Hydrocephalus Heterotaxy Syndrome, a rare congenital heart defect known as Hypoplastic Left Heart . . . and the list continues. He passed peacefully in the arms of his parents at 1:00 P.M. on December 29, 2012 and was welcomed home by Jesus. Although his time on Earth was short, Callen inspired many people, young and old, to experience LIFE. God called Callen and gave him a purpose. That purpose was fulfilled as many witnessed his fight against such severe medical problems even when doctors doubted him. His parent’s faith remained unshakable, also being witnesses to the power and love of God. He is survived by his parents, Justin and Victoria; brother and sister, Caycen & Carly; grandparents, Steve and Tarri Wright of Lockney, Rodger Rice of Lubbock; great-grandparents, Charles and Sandra Thomas of Lockney, Bob and Carlene Wright of Spur, Bill and Mildred Rice of Canyon; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church. A family and friends visitation will be held from 2:00 pm Monday until service time at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
