Rosey Isbell, 77, of Plainview, died on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Rosey was born on August 28, 1935 in Hobbs, Texas to Vernon Boen and Rena Doyle. She grew up and spent her childhood in the Roby and Rotan area. She received her GED and later received her Associates Degree in Business from Wayland Baptist University after her children were grown. She was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was an avid supporter of the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She married Earl Nelson Isbell on November 17, 1970 and he preceded her death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Evelene Moore. She is survived eight children; Rickey Pierce and wife Debbie of Childress, Gail Keiser of Fountain, Colorado, Linda Pierce of El Paso, Patricia Jones of Keller, Charlie Pierce and wife Kathy of Hubbard, Johnny Pierce and wife Cindy of Plainview, Karen Nesmith and husband Cliff of Wortham, Charalene Ruble and husband Ron of Lubbock; two sisters, June Nabors and husband Charles of Plainview, Pam Miller of Plainview; 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
