Tulia, Texas--Adolfo Trevino Ortiz, 62, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2013 in Arlington, Texas where he has resided since 1994. He was born in Sinton, Texas and raised in Tulia, Texas. He was employed at Speed -Fab Crete as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time with his family. He lived his life everyday as it should be lived, with honesty, love, happiness, laughter, and appreciation for everyday. He leaves behind a legacy of a great man with a big heart, whom enjoyed life’s simplicities and accepted life’s struggles with a smile on his face and a shrug of his shoulders. He was a person whose easy going spirit touched everyone he came across and through his actions of generosity and selflessness affected so many people. Whether it was a coworker, family member, friend, or a stranger in need he was always there to open his door in the time of need. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will be kept alive. Adolfo was preceded in death by his parents: Jesus and Manuela Ortiz; and his brother Arnold “Bruno” Ortiz. Survivors: daughter Christine Goleman, son Zachary Ortiz; sisters: Angelica Flores, America Cruz, Adriana Basaldua, and Angie Cruz; brother: Arturo Ortiz; granddaughters: Kristen and Kassie Goleman and Isabella Ortiz. A rosary will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
