Jim Wilmeth, 69, of Plainview, passed away at 11:49 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2005. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2005 at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Don Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Wilmeth was born on June 5, 1936 in Plainview to James Ferguson and Charlottle Bell Parish Wilmeth. Mr. Wilmeth grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1954. He had farmed in Tulia until 1977 and at Edmonson until 1996. He had worked at Plainview Acid and Delinting Company for several years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of Sam’s Club, College Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by four children: Randy Skaggs and his wife Shearon of Houston, Texas; Sandra Lampkin and her husband Leland of Seale, Alabama; Edward Skaggs and his wife Tina both of Houston; Debra Ontiveros of Plainview, Texas; one brother: Weldon Wilmeth of Grandbury; one sister: Francis Rendinger of Santa Fe, New Mexico, six grandchildren: Crystal Averett, Brandon Lampkin, Chad Lampkin, Kayla Lampkin, Shawn Smith, Megan Smith; 2 great grandchildren.
