Plainview, Texas—Margaret Helen Hayes, 79, died on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at10:30 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Northwest Church of Christ with Mr. Hugh Miller and Mr. J. Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Margaret Helen was born January 27, 1933 in Sadler, Texas to J.C. and Louise Maples. She grew up in Sadler and Gunter and graduated from Gunter High School. She married Jack Hayes on April 28, 1950 in Gunter. They moved to the Edmonson area and farmed. She was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife doing various jobs including bookkeeping on the farm. She was a member of Northwest Church of Christ and a member of the Northwest Demonstration Club at Edmonson. She is preceded in death by her parents: J.C. and Louise Maples, her husband: Jack Hayes, one brother: Clyde Maples and one granddaughter: Meagan Bedwell. Her family includes two daughters: Rhonda Heller and Helen Ann Teel, both of Plainview, one son: Kelly Hayes and wife Carmen of Midland, one brother: Melvin Maples and wife Donna of Channelview, TX, one sister: Dorothy Lee of Sherman, TX, a brother-in-law: Mark Hayes and wife Vicki of Plainview, four sisters-in-law: Ann Marshall of Plainview, Larue Pinkerton of Halfway, Darlene Teel and husband Dee of Plainview, Peggy Blue and husband Doyle of Gunter, eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ-India, 501 Kirchwood, Plainview, TX 79072 or to the Northwest Church of Christ Evangelism Fund, 2000 N. I-27, Plainview, TX 79072.
