Antonio S. Contreras (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Antonio S. Contreras, 66, died Friday, January 25, 2013 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 28, 2013 in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Antonio was born June 25, 1947 in Moorehead, Minnesota. He grew up in Tulia and attended schools at Plainview and Tulia. He worked for Roll-A-Cone for several years. His family includes three daughters: Nancy Lopez of Plainview, Melissa Contreras of Lubbock, Jessica Hill of Lubbock, one son: Antonio Contreras, Jr. of Lubbock, two half-brothers: Reyes Contreras and Juan Contreras, Jr. both of Tulia, three half-sisters: Eva Castillo, Frances McDowell and Eube McCrary, all of Tulia, four sisters: Santitos Villarreal, Juanita Contreras, Consuelo Contreras and Beatrice Rivera, all of Altus, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the funeral home.
