Tulia, Texas--Mark Miller, 61, entered eternal life on January 26, 2013. Born October 18, 1951 to Lula Marjorie and Paul Miller he was a loyal and dear son, friend and brother. After surviving a devastating head injury in a car accident in 1971, he got a second chance at life that he lived on his own terms. The neuro-surgeon that treated him for 2 months after the accident fully expected that he would never recover, but later called him “one of God’s miracles.” With the help of his wife at the time, Mary Lou Parks Street, Mark gradually recovered, moving to San Marcos, Texas to attend Southwest Texas University. Later he graduated from the University of Texas and set up his own videography business, while also owning and managing real estate, He lived in Wimberley, Texas for over 20 years where he made life-long friends. In 1999 he moved back to the farm northeast of Tulia when his father died. He took over the management of Miller Farms and diligently steered the business through difficult times. He also re-kindled many old friendships as well as making new ones. His four dogs Fuzz, Jake, Shadow and Rusty were his loyal canine companions, and he treated them like family. He was long-time member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as a Ruling Elder. He is survived by two sisters, Janet Wright of Tulia, and Dale Ann Morgan of Waukesha, Wisconsin; one niece, Jenny Briones of Tulia, and four nephews, Adam Wright of Rolette, North Dakota, Rev. Troy C. Morgan of Vienna, Austria, Trey Morgan of Portland, Oregon and Michael Morgan of Tinton Falls, New Jersey. He is further survived by cousins Tooter Gardner of Anderson, Missouri and Shirley Thomas of Georgia, as well as by fifteen great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5th at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. A memorial service will held at First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, February 6th at 11:00 AM.
