Kornerstone Funeral Directors 201 W. Broadway St. Tulia, Texas 79088 806.995.1701 February 22, 2008 Tulia, Texas— Roy Skinner, 90, formerly of Nocona, died Friday, February 22, 2008 in Tulia. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008 in Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, Texas with Rev. Mark Kunkle, pastor of First Baptist Church in Terrell, OK, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. The body will lie in state at Scott-Morris Funeral Home in Nocona on Sunday from 1:00 pm until service time. Mr. Skinner was born on January 23, 1918 in Ryan, OK. He grew up in Ryan and Nocona, TX. He married Georgia Linn on June 18, 1949 in Henrietta, TX. They lived in Nocona and Roy worked as an oil field pumper until he retired. He served in the US Army during WWII. Mrs. Skinner died May 4, 2000 in Nocona. Roy later moved to Tulia in 2003. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Sheilah and Rick Skinner of Tulia, TX; two grandchildren, Greg Skinner of Tulia and Tracie Lowry and husband Rich of Tulia; four great grandchildren, Kelton Skinner, Sterling Skinner, Ashlee Lowry and Emilee Lowry; two brothers, Bill Skinner and Raymond Skinner, both of Bowie, TX; and two sisters, Lucille Bowles and Fern Walser, both of Nocona, TX.
