Herminio Porras, Sr. (Plainview)

Herminio Porras, Sr. 71, of Edmonson passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Porras was born on October 10, 1936. He married Anita Tarin on October 31, 1960 in Plainview. He was a farmer and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife: Anita Porras; seven daughters: Beatrice Caldera of Lubbock, Gloria Hernandez of Lubbock, Estella Alvarado of Tulia, Olga Loya of Tulia, Priscilla Sarabia of Lubbock, Isabell Porras of Plainview and Marisa Porras of Edmonson; two sons:Herminio Porras, Jr. of Plainview and Jose Porras of Plainview; three sisters: Francisca Porras of Oklahoma, Antonio Terrazas of Fort Stockton and Manuela Porras of Juarez; twenty eight grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
