Charles Mason (Plainview)

Charles Mason, 81, of Kress died on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Kress Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Charles was born September 29, 1931 to Elliot and Ada Mason in Vernon, TX. He graduated from Kress High School in 1950 and attended Texas Tech. He was active in 4H and served in the US Army. He was married to LaVerne Garrett Sims from 1951 until 1977. He married Dorothy Jameson on November 22, 1992 in Claytonville, TX. She preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, Charles Lynn Mason of Plainview, TX, and Ricky Mason of Plainview, TX and one sister, Mary Nell Vineyard of Kress, TX; two stepdaughters, Diane Hall of Tulia, TX, and Charlotte Hondl of Dickinson, ND; one stepson, Gary Jameson of Kress, TX; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
