Lloyd Medlin (Plainview)

Plainview, Texas—Lloyd “Buzzy” Medlin, 67, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Ft. Worth. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, April 1, 2013 at Plainview Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Brunson officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 9:30 am Monday until service time at the funeral home. Lloyd was born September 25, 1945 in Clovis, NM to Clarence and Lois Medlin. He grew up at Edmonson and attended schools in Plainview where he graduated Plainview High School in 1963. He worked for several different companies before working as a mechanic for Gardner Chevrolet. He worked there 6 or 8 years and then operated his own shop called Medlin Automotive for almost 15 years. He returned to Gardner for another 7 years. He then went to McGavock Motors and Scoggin Dickey. He retired in 2009. He was a member of the Plainview Rodeo Association where he was a member of the Pony Express Team. He was a Cowboy by heart. Survivors include two sons: Kelley Medlin and wife Vanessa and Kristopher Medlin and wife Jessica all of Weatherford, two sisters: Sue Rubac and husband Lynn of Temple and Juanita Barnett of Missouri and six grandchildren: Kaleb Turney, Sydney Medlin, Jaydin Medlin, Sawyer Medlin, Emma Medlin and Ryan Medlin.
