Nadine (McMillon) Madera, 90, of Plainview passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Family Life Chapel of the First Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Nadine was born on January 19, 1923 in Boxelder, Texas to Roy and Mary Neagle. She grew up and attended schools in Crosbyton. She married W.J. McMillon and they lived in Happy, Texas before moving to Plainview in the late 1950’s. She was a homemaker and a mother to her children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of PWP. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Sante Fe House, Area Community Hospice, Girling Home Health Care, and Dr. Lara and his nurse Sandra for the great care they provided to Nadine. Nadine was preceded in death by her husbands, W.J. McMillon, Melvin Roach, Ralph Madera; a daughter, Linda Daniel; and 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters. Survivors include her children, Peggy Huckabee and husband John of Big Spring, Mary Kubacak of Lubbock, Billy McMillon and wife Helen of Amarillo, Jimmy McMillon and wife Barbara of Houston, Don McMillon and wife Sue of Plainview, Ronnie McMillon and wife Bonnie of Amarillo, Curtis McMillon of Amarillo, Sharon McMillon of Mansfield; 32 grandchildren and 65 great and 13 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to Meals on Wheels or to Area Community Hospice.
