Howard Hatch (Plainview)

Howard Hatch, 75, of Plainview passed away on April 29, 2013 in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 in the Family Life Chapel of the First Baptist Church with Mr. Lanny Voss officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Hatch was born April 23, 1938 in Plainview, Texas to Joseph Allen & Ruby Nell Hatch. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1957. He attended Wayland for several years. Mr. Hatch married Leta Mires on January 23, 1959 in Plainview. He owned and operated Hatch Automotive for over 20 years. After selling his shop he continued working in the auto industry for several years before retiring. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church, member of the Pastor’s Sunday School Class and the Good Sam’s Club. Mr. Hatch is survived by his wife: Leta M. Hatch of Plainview; three sons: Wally Hatch & wife Torri, Kyle Hatch & wife Kenna and Stan Hatch all of Plainview; two brothers: Joe Hatch & wife Betty of Chandler, Texas and Harley Hatch of Plainview; three sisters: Julia Hollis & husband Richard of Clarendon, Edith Sims and Edna Heflin & husband Rob both of Plainview; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
