Aaron James Morgan, 31, of Plainview, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 6, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Hart of Ransom Canyon officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Aaron was born on November 29, 1981 in Plainview to Gary and Tina Morgan. He grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 2000. He was a member of the FFA in high school where he was on the Ag Issues team that won 1st place in the National competition in 2000. He then graduated from Texas Tech University in 2004 with a degree in Business Administration. He worked along the side of his father Gary as a General Contractor doing carpentry, painting, fence building, and the list goes on. He loved working with wood. He also loved to go out on his boat and enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He had a true affection for Ford Pickups and John Deere tractors. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainview. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Gloria Mires, and Glenn Morgan. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Tina Morgan of Plainview; three brothers, Canaan Morgan and wife Amanda of Amarillo, Jeffery Morgan of Midland, Michael Morgan of Dalhart; one sister, Pamela Morgan of Plainview; grandmother, Minnie Morgan of Plainview; uncles and aunts, Darrell and Kim Mires of Plainview, Koree and Kelly Mires of Allen, Sherry and Gerald McMasters of Lubbock, Larry and Pat Hammitt of Canyon, Jerry and Polly Morgan of Plainview, Becky Wiggs of Plainview; and numerous cousins.
