John Hock San Lim (Tulia)

John Hock San Lim November 19, 1939 – May 15, 2013 John Hock San Lim of Tulia Texas died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 in Amarillo, Texas. A memorial service for John will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel – 201 West Broadway in Tulia, Texas on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Mr. Harold Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. John migrated to the United States in 1958 to further his education. He attended Warren Wilson College in North Carolina, Berea College in Kentucky where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He then attended Southern Methodist University and East Texas State University where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Library Science. John worked for many years as a librarian at West Texas State University, now West Texas A & M, before going into private business. John spent the last 10 years of his life at Tulia Health and Rehabilitation Center where he had many friends. He leaves behind his mother; Lucy Lim, brothers; Philip and Peter Lim, and sisters; Mavis Lim, Mary Weber, and Rosalind Ragsdale
